Discover Birds
Whether you are an avid birder or just a nature enthusiast, I think you will enjoy this site. My work is a blend of science, nature, art and technology. My goal is to film all of the Birds of North America and release DVD’s and HD downloads along the way.
Each DVD will introduce you to new birds by providing the name, sex and length. You will typically hear the call and/or song of each bird and see close up footage that will help you gain identification skills. And it is by design that you are not told the name until you have first had time to take a guess.
If bird ID is not your thing, you will still appreciate the sense of being outside, interacting with nature, experiencing the intimate relationships between organisms that are so often overlooked in our busy, day to day lives. I am a biology teacher and in my narration offer insightful information and observations.
I live in Vermont, and that is where this adventure started, but birdwatchers from New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Quebec, and anywhere in North America will find birds they are familiar with on my bird videos.
Follow me on my journey to film the Birds of North America.
Enjoy,
Mark Paul
